I have created these illustrated stories to make reading Latin and Greek more intuitive and more entertaining. The anime-style illustrations give a visual context to the words, helping readers follow the action, recognise relationships and connect the language with what is happening in the story.
My aim is to encourage readers to understand a passage as a connected narrative, while still paying careful attention to its vocabulary and grammar. The pictures provide support, and I hope they also make readers want to turn the page and discover what happens next.
The collection is arranged below by language and story. Numbered instalments should be read in order. All stories in the Latin section are in Latin, including those about Greek mythology and history. The Greek collection currently contains one story, and I intend to add more in due course.

Greek Stories
This section contains stories in Ancient Greek. It begins with Arion and the Dolphin, which is also available in Latin above. Further Greek stories will be added as the collection develops.
How to Use the Stories
First, read a short section with the help of the pictures and try to follow the action. Then return to the language: check unfamiliar words, identify important endings and consider how each sentence fits together.
Finally, read the section again as a story. The aim is to bring understanding of the grammar and enjoyment of the narrative together.
